A total of 16 teams from all over the world already threw themselves into several matches of the PMGC Finals to battle out for a staggering prize pool of $1,200,000. The tournament was initially scheduled to go live at the Coca-Cola Stadium, Dubai at the very start but three players reportedly had positive results with the COVID-19 test afterwards. The organizers then decided to make all the matches come into operation right from the hotel rooms with the aid of a quality network. They put health and safety ahead of anything else instead of bringing people together at the venue.

3 teams got banned from PUBG Mobile Pakistan Challenge 2020 Grand Finals for cheating, hacking and unprofessional behaviors.]]>

PUBG Mobile Pakistan Challenge 2020 is currently in the Grand Finals stage with 16 teams qualified. However, a serious issue happened as 3 teams have been disqualified from the tournament because of hacking and cheating. This dropped the total number of teams from 16 teams to 13 teams so they will have to play more matches to make up for it.

3 teams have been disqualified from the tournament because of hacking and cheating

The 3 teams that were banned were Team GOD Speed, Team SINISTER, and Team Gold Diggers for cheating, hacking, and unprofessional behavior.

Team GOD Speed was caught cheating on Day 1 and was banned immediately.

Team Gold Diggers was in the 2nd position on the leader board 129 points with 2 Chicken Dinners before they got banned on DAy 2 because of their unprofessional behavior.

Team SINISTER was in 10th place but one of their member, King, was on the top of the kill leaderboard with 25 kills, 3346 damage. The team was banned on Day 2 of the Grand Finals.

It is sad that things like this happen in such a big PUBG Mobile tournament, and even in the Grand Finals as well. Because of this, the PUBG Mobile Pakistan Challenge 2020 Grand Finals will be delayed until December 29 with 10 matches on the final day.

Currently, team F4 is leading the leader board with 3 Chicken Dinners with 80 points and 76 kills. Team R3GICIDE is in 2nd place now that team Gold Diggers has been banned.

This could be PUBG Mobile World Championship 2020. It is likely that the tournament would be in a new format, with the pandemic raging around.]]>

2020 was going to be a big year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with an unprecedented prize pool of 5 million dollars and an extra level of competition. However, the sudden arrival of the coronavirus plague has thrown a wrench into the developers’ plans. The World Championship was supposed to be held in December 2020 in Katowice, Poland, with the top teams from the World League participating.

PUBG Mobile World League has the biggest prize pool ever seen for a Mobile title

Almost all regional LAN tournaments of PUBG Mobile has been changed to online… and with international tournaments even harder to hold (as you have to get people all over various countries to gather), looks like we are going to have an online Global tournament.

How is an Online Global tournament going to work?

Lags, as usual, is the main enemy of online gaming - and in this case, PUBG Mobile's developers would have to create a stable connection between all the teams and a server. This is actually super hard to do, as the ones who are physically closer would always have an advantage. For a global, high tier tournament - that isn't really acceptable. It is why all major tournaments are always offlines.

PUBG Mobile has to change its plan due to COVID

They could also do what the NBA is doing to their players - fly everyone to a location without COVID and hold the tournament there. The complication is that in the NBA's case, all the players are in one country while in PUBG Mobile's case, they are scattered all over the world.

What is going to happen?

According to James Yang, they have been monitored the virus situation and found a possible solution back in June. With international travel opening up in various countries around the world and many other Tencent-created tournaments restarting (Leagues of Legend World and Clash Royale League are re-opening), it is very possible for PUBG Mobile to go the same route.

The announcement would be in two weeks, on August 24. Stay tuned. Interested in more of our PUBG Mobile related articles? Please check out this post for everything about the Desert Eagle in PUBG Mobile.

Looks like this is a global version of the PUBG Mobile Star Challenge, featuring many more people from various regions all over the world. There are representatives from India, North America, Africa, South East Asia, Europe, and even the Middle East – the 32 influencers were selected by votes from a list of 64.

Mortal and Scout, the two most famous Indian players, are the country's representative captains

Team Mortal

Currently, there are 3 members in Mortal's team: himself, Regaltos and Viper. This is pretty much an old lineup of Soul - they are probably prepared for any challenge ahead. With Mortal and the Soul clan being the most famous PUBG Mobile players in India, there is probably nothing more to say about the guy that people have already known.

Team Scout

Scout's squad is just as great - maybe even better - the lineup is pretty much Allstars. Accompanying Scout is TSM. Entity Jonathan, one of the most individually skilled players in the pro scene and Dynamo, the biggest PUBG Mobile streamer in India. With both lineups being consist of pro-players, victory is probably in the bag for the participated Indian teams.

  • ONIC MUTE
  • EILOCOSANTIARG
  • BANGPEN

  • MEZARCI
  • ROLEX

  • ATRO
  • OM SAYF
  • SECRET BIUBIU
  • PIKACHU
  • DOCH
  • DREAM PUBG
  • PANDA
  • NATO GAMER
  • DEXTROGER
  • FLASHZITO
  • ALPOXZEN
  • OLDBOY
  • RISERBECK
  • DON TACHO

Vote results of all team captains:

2 5 768x311

3 5 768x308

4 5 768x313

1 4 768x304

We can clearly see that India's Mortal got the most votes out of everyone, 1300 more than the 2nd spot, Aleyna Tilki. Even Levinho, one of the more famous streamers of PUBG Mobile in Europe, get only 15 votes.

Looks like Tencent has planned this restart for PMPL South Asia 2020 months ago – the tournament would resume as soon as the pandemic situation improves.]]>

Tencent along with PUBG Mobile have big plans for the esports scene of the game this year – however, due to the pandemic, almost everything has to be postponed until a later date. However, looks like the situation has changed – PMPL South Asia 2020 is going to resume on May 22.

Twenty squads from the South Asia region (India, Bangladesh, Nepal) are going to compete with each other for a spot to the PUBG Mobile World League this year. Despite being only a regional tournament, PMPL South Asia 2020 still has a massive prize pool of two hundred thousand dollars.

The official announcement about this would be released soon on related PUBG Mobile Social media accounts. While the Pro League resumes, it would still be an online event due to the current lockdown of the country. The whole thing would be streamed live on PUBG Mobile Esports’ official YouTube channel.

The twenty squads have been divided into five groups – below are the current standings of PMPL 2020. Currently, UMExRXN is leading the board, with 2 chicken dinners and 137 points. SynerGE and TSM-Entity are very close behind with 123 and 121 points respectively.

PUBG Mobile Pro League is divided into 2 stages, League and Finals, similar to the previous tournaments. The top 3 of League stage would be granted direct entry to PMWL 2020 while the remaining teams would have to battle it out for the remaining two spots in the final stage.

PUBG Mobile's Akhada Cup Season 2 has finally concluded, with SynerGE's overwhelming victory. Fans favourite teams like Soul or Fnatic played poorly.]]>

This is the second season of Akhada Cup, an invite-only PUBG Mobile scrims tournament created by India's Proscrims Esports. The competition was held in five days, in which the top teams of PUBG Mobile India fiercely compete with each other to practice and test new strategies. A lot of teams have been invited - and all of them are top tier: SouL, Fnatic, IND, SynerGe...

7b23e 15867648063033 800
The official announcement about SynerGE's victory

After almost a week of intense fighting, SynerGe Gaming has become the winner of the Season 2 Akhada Cup. Fnatic performed pretty well, with a 4th position - they could have gotten higher. Soul, however, has disappointed their fans with an 8th place finish - it looks like there is still a lot to be done. Below is our analysis of the whole tournament:

Ecc09 15867669287532 800
The top Fragger list after the fifth day

The three best teams of Akhada Cup Season 2 was SynerGe, Megastars, and Revenge Esports. The three squads were really close on the fourth day's end. However, after the final day of fierce competition, SynerGe, the fans' favorite team, ended up the winner.

Ea3ca 15867653663222 800
Points total after day 5

From the tables above, we can clearly see that the only teams that can contest SynerGe for the top spots are Revenge Esports, Fnatic India and Megastars. PUBG Mobile India's most favourite team, Soul, wasn't even close to that, with over 100 points below the leader.

These results would surely disappoint their fans - they would have a lot of things to take care of before PMPL South Asia hit. SynerGe, with the roster of Seervi, Austinx, Ted and Shryder, is steadily improving - they are now considered to be one of the top contenders in the South Asia region. If they can keep up what they have been showing in the tournaments so far, they would even be able to contest much further in after PMPL.
