Clearly inspired by Weeping Angel mechanics, this living tree monster isn’t a significant threat on its own, but it can quickly become a problem when encountered in larger groups.

The Creaking is essentially invulnerable compared to other recent hostile mobs like the Warden and the Breeze, and it can even trap the Warden in a loop of continuous attacks with no effect. Players can instantly destroy the Creaking once they locate the Creaking Heart that controls it, as currently, one Heart spawns and governs one Creaking. Until players find that Heart, they cannot harm the Creaking. While it doesn’t deal significant damage—only half a heart even against end-game armor—the real danger comes from overwhelming numbers. Its speed also means it can finish off players with low health after they've battled other mobs. Fortunately, as long as players keep the Creaking in their line of sight, it will remain unable to move.

The Creaking was initially brought up before Minecraft Live 2024. Its name and design were leaked early, despite Mojang's plans to showcase the mob at the official event.

Initially, the mob name and the new biome where it would spawn were accidentally leaked on the official game website. Two days before the live event, some fans started sharing images from the developer after-show footage that clearly displayed the new mob and its features. This was the second leak. Along with these photos, a new block called the creaking heart was also revealed.

During all of this, Mojang used its official social media accounts to share subtle hints and teasers about the mob. However, many dedicated fans were already aware of it by that point.

What is Creaking mob in Minecraft?

The Creaking was completely revealed at the live event and showcased further during the developer after-show. In this part, the mob's creators explored the new biome and the Creaking, providing details about its features.

The Creaking mob is slightly taller than the player’s character, and its texture resembles the tree trunks found in the Pale Garden biome. Its body is covered in dead vines that grow in the biome, helping it blend in with the forest.

A unique feature of the Creaking is that when it spawns in the Pale Gardens at night, it will only move toward a player if that player isn’t watching it. If a player has their eyes on the Creaking, it will remain stationary. This eerie mob isn’t very strong and can only inflict one heart of damage.

Players learned that attacking the Creaking won't cause it to die. They can hit the mob as many times as they want, but it won't take any damage or be defeated, even though it has only half a heart of health. Instead, the Creaking is associated with a new block called the creaking heart, a unique wood log block formed deep within a Pale Garden tree.

To eliminate the Creaking, players must find its heart inside one of the trees in the Pale Garden and break it. Once the heart is destroyed, the mob will simply crumble and perish.

Currently, the Creaking does not drop any experience points or items upon its death. Additionally, the new creaking heart block can only be used to summon the mob at night if it is placed again between 2 pale oak log blocks.

Fans will also notice that there won't be a Minecraft mob vote this year, as Mojang has retired this event due to player feedback that it divided the community and led to unused game ideas.

The upcoming content drop, called the Bundles of Bravery, is set to arrive soon and will introduce bundles to both main versions of Minecraft. Bundles were first shown during Minecraft Live in 2020, and they will help players organize and expand their inventories more effectively. This drop will also add hardcore mode to Minecraft Bedrock Edition. The addition of this permadeath mode has been controversial because of various bugs in the Bedrock version, some of which can cause players to suddenly take damage and die.

What’s New in Minecraft Pale Garden Biome

Players can also expect new content soon, including the eerie pale garden biome. This quiet area stands out from other overworld biomes in Minecraft, featuring thick, grey foliage and a lack of mobs. However, when night falls, players may encounter creaking tree-like monsters in the pale garden. These creatures are immune to direct damage and can only move when not being watched.

To defeat the creaking monsters, players will need to find and destroy creaking heart blocks hidden in the trees of the biome. These blocks can be collected and used, along with a new type of pale wood found in the upcoming biome. While Mojang hasn't given exact dates yet, it looks like players won't have to wait long to experience the new environment in an upcoming preview version.

The Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.30 patch brought several enhancements, including bug fixes and parity adjustments.

Villagers will now remain silent while sleeping in beds at night, clearly indicating they are asleep. Additionally, Stone Mason villagers have been renamed to simply Mason to align with Minecraft Java Edition. Foxes in Bedrock Edition have also received a health update, reducing their total from 10 hearts to five to match Java Edition.  Furthermore, a new experimental feature, bundles, has been introduced to improve inventory management.

New Experimental Bundles in Minecraft

When building a new world in the sandbox game, players can activate the bundle experiment to use bundles in-game. However, bundles won’t show up in regular Survival, Creative, or Realm worlds since they are still in preview and beta phases, meaning they might change at any time. In a new world with the bundle experiment enabled, players can craft a bundle by placing one piece of string above one piece of leather in the crafting menu. After that, they can experiment with combining various items into the same stack.

Bundles occupy a single inventory slot but can't be stacked once filled with items. Players can store up to 64 different types of items in a bundle, even if they're not the same kind. For instance, a bundle might contain 32 gold ingots, 12 arrows, 10 sticks, six cooked steaks, and four torches. Players can open a bundle to take out individual items, and the bundle icon will show the selected item protruding from it. If players are holding bundles, they can empty the entire contents onto the ground for quick access and storage.

Bundle Issues in Minecraft

As bundles are still in preview and beta stages, players may encounter some bugs and issues. For example, while multiple stackable items can fit in a bundle, items that typically occupy an entire slot—like weapons or armor—will fill a bundle on their own. Additionally, when moving items in bundles on touch devices, the wrong item icon may briefly appear. There are also issues when bundles are placed in decorated pots, given to allays, or transferred through hoppers and droppers, which can result in losing their contents.

Bundles Potential Benefits in Minecraft

For much of Minecraft's history, only identical items could stack in a single inventory slot—like 64 wooden blocks, 16 eggs, or 16 honey bottles. While this system was straightforward, players often found their inventories overflowing while mining or exploring, leading to multiple trips back to their base or the need to drop less desirable items. To improve inventory management, bundles were first tested in Minecraft with the Java Snapshot 20w45a in 2020, but they weren’t reintroduced until 2024. Although bundles are still classified as an experiment, their proper implementation could significantly change the way players interact with the game.

As bundles currently favor resource blocks over tools and weapons, they could enhance players' mining efficiency. Rather than juggling multiple stacks of cobblestone or deepslate, players could use several bundles to carry just a few stone blocks, freeing up most of their inventory space for valuable ores, metals, and minerals.

Bundles could enable players to better prepare for risky situations by carrying items like honey bottles, buckets of milk, and various types of food. These enhancements would allow players to mine in Minecraft for longer periods without needing to frequently return to base.

Mojangs teased the information about Minecraft Live 2024 along with the announcement of the 1.22 update. And recently, the developer already published the official trailer on YouTube, confirming that Minecraft Live 2024 will be on September 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM EDT (or 10:00 AM PDT). “This year’s Minecraft Live will have a new look and feel but it’s still packed with the latest and greatest news. We’ll be unveiling never-before-seen game drops, giving you exclusive insight into secret stuff, and more!” the developer says in the YouTube video description.

If you’ve missed out on Minecraft lately, here’s what’s new: Mojang Studios is shifting from a yearly update cycle to a more frequent drop-based system for new features. They’ve also retired the “Mob Votes,” which is why it’s not included in the event teaser video.

Minecraft Snapshot 24w35a for Java Edition came out on August 28, including various changes, tweaks to one of its Experimental Features, and many bug fixes. While there are no new features or content added, fans still have many things to check out and get used to.

1. Bundle item selections

In earlier Minecraft Java snapshots, you could use number keys to quickly select items in bundles. However, Mojang found that this conflicted with the old functions of the number keys. To avoid issues, they decided to remove the bundle item shortcuts so players could use the number keys as they were originally intended.

Additionally, the number key shortcuts were seen as less effective because bundles can now display more than 10 items at once.

2. Pillager raid spawning

In Minecraft: Java Edition, there were times when raids on villages wouldn't start because pillager raiders didn't spawn correctly. Snapshot 24w35a fixes this by improving how pillager raiders spawn and reducing the chances of them not finding the right spots to appear.

Also, raids will now only begin if raiders can find a spot to spawn within 96 blocks above or below the village center. This improvement in raider spawning behavior should make raids start more reliably.

3. Armor swapping

Quick-swapping armor can be handy, but Snapshot 24w34a introduced a troubling bug. In Minecraft Survival Mode, if you right-clicked with an armor piece while wearing one of the same type, the armor would swap while the removed piece would be deleted.

Fortunately, in this Snapshot 24w35a, players no longer have to worry about losing their armor completely when quick-swapping in Java Snapshots.

4. Trader llama aggression

In recent Minecraft snapshots, trader llamas had a strange problem where they would ignore hostile mobs like zombies, husks, drowned, illagers, and zombie villagers. Since trader llamas are supposed to spit at hostile mobs that come too close, this bug was quite frustrating.

Snapshot 24w35a has resolved this long-standing issue. Trader llamas will now properly attack hostile mobs like zombies, husks, drowned, illagers, and zombie villagers when they come near.

5. Snow golem aiming

In recent Minecraft Java snapshots, snow golems have shown odd behavior due to a bug. When near an enemy, they would shoot their snowballs directly above them or into the ground instead of at the target. This made snow golems much less effective than usual.

Like many other bugs in Snapshot 24w35a, this issue has been fixed. In future snapshots, players should be able to use their snow golems properly for protection against hostile mobs.

Minecraft’s old redstone torch texture has received a new design in recent snapshots. And many players are arguing over whether it should become a permanent change.

The redstone torch has been a part of Minecraft since 2010, when the game was still in its alpha version. It’s a key element in redstone creations, from simple piston doors to complex farms. While it doesn’t give off as much light as a regular torch, its main feature is the constant redstone charge it produces. How to join MCC party

To join the MCC Party, open Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and look for a special button. The game starts on July 22 and ends on August 4. You need the internet to play. If you're on a console, you need a special pass like Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus. Kids need to ask a grown-up to turn on server play.

In this thrilling competition, ten teams of four Minecrafters each will navigate through eight distinct games crafted to challenge different skills. Competitors must showcase their abilities in parkour, PvP (player versus player combat), puzzles, building, and their overall Minecraft knowledge. Teamwork is crucial at every stage of the competition. After all eight mini-games, the top two teams with the highest scores advance to the final duel. Here, they face off to determine which team will claim victory and prove themselves worthy of the Ender Cup!
