The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024 grand final will be held at the ExCel London from December 6th to 8th, according to James Yang, Senior Director of Global Esports at Level Infinite. Fans can witness the world's top PUBG Mobile teams compete live as tickets go on sale in August.

PMGC 2024 Participants

The 2024 PMGC will keep its usual format, but there are some changes to how teams qualify because of the new regional PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL) series. 15 teams will make it to the championship: 2 from Japan, 4 from PEL, 2 from South Korea, the winner of the PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup S2, the PMWC Champions Region, and 5 teams that receive special invites.

In addition, 10 teams from Southeast Asia will qualify through PMSL SEA Fall and PMGC points. 8 teams from Central and South America will qualify via PMSL CSA Fall and PMGC points. 6 teams from the Americas will qualify based on PMSL Americas Fall and PMGC points. Finally, 9 teams from Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will qualify through PMSL EMEA Fall and PMGC points.

PUBG Mobile Metro Royale Esports mode

Level Infinite also introduced a new esports circuit focused on PUBG Mobile Metro Royale mode. First introduced in 2021, this PvPvE format tasks players with finding loot while fighting both other players and even AI opponents.

After four years of strong performance, Brazilian team Alpha 7 Esports clinched their first global championship title yesterday, winning the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2024 and a $400,000 prize pool.

PMWC 2024 Overall standings

Alpha 7 Esports earned 153 points from 18 matches in the PMWC Main Event. They won five Chicken Dinners and had 82 eliminations. Their performance was outstanding throughout this esports event.

Reject from Japan, the winner of PUBG Mobile Global Open 2024, came in second place and won $200,000. They scored 124 points and won two Chicken Dinners during the Main Event. Reiji from the team was named MVP and received $50,000. He got 33 eliminations in 18 games. He was also the MVP in PMGO 2024.

Tianba, a team from China, had an impressive performance in the Main Event, finishing third even though they didn't win any matches. They earned 124 points from 18 matches and played very well on the final day.

The Microcosm event in PUBG Mobile will be the second event in the current season, following the theme of the ongoing Season 19 Traverse Royale Pass. During the event, players can transform into mini ‘Insectoids’ to stay out of sight and travel through wormholes.

PUBG Mobile Microcosm Event Details

During the PUBG Mobile Microcosm event, players can find five labs across the map of Erangel. Each will have interactive facilities which allow players to transform into an Insectoid and fly at a low altitude.

The labs will also spawn special loot, making them a potential hot-drop during the event. You can easily spot the lab in the distance. They're large imposing buildings that bear the name “Inhuman Labs”. It will also come with a slogan: “In Truth We Trust”.

PUBG Mobile Microcosm Event Labs Guide

#1 Quantum Transformation Device

This is the basic apparatus of the lab, used to transform players into an Insectoid or go back to normal form. It will be in the shape of a cylindrical apparatus that appear on a raised platform in the center of the lab.

#2 Energy Store

This machine will sell combat supplies to the player in exchange for Luminators. Each item in the Store has a specific Luminator cost.

#3 Wormhole Device

The Wormhole Device allows players to transport from one lab to another. However, players must be in the shrunk Insectoid form to use this device. Each use costs 50 Luminators.

PUBG Mobile Microcosm Event Gameplay

Once a player is in the Insectoid form, they will have access to special weapons exclusive to Insectoids to combat other Insectoids in the Quantum realm. Insectoids are immune to damage from regular ammo types but still take damage from a Pan, a PUBG Mobile trademark.

Only Insectoids have the visual ability to spot certain objects called Luminators scattered around the labs in a certain radius. Collect Luminatorsto exchange for combat supplies in the Exchange Store or travel from one lab to another.

Also, players must note that the Insectoid form will only be sustainable within a certain radius of the lab. It is called the Quantum Field. Should the player exits the Field,  the Insectoid form will wear off and revert the player to their original regular form. All gear and weapons equipped before turning into an Insectoid will also be returned.
