In GTA Online this holiday season, there were supposed to be two rare license plates you could get. We’ll show you how to get them. However, there’s a strange problem—Rockstar Games made a mistake, so only one plate is actually available. We’ll explain more about it.

GTA Online’s current Event Week, from December 19, 2024, to January 1, 2025, includes two Salvage Yard Robberies with big rewards. Finish them to unlock a great car deal and a rare license plate.

Each week, Rockstar Games changes the Salvage Yard Robbery missions, offering three different options and the vehicles you need to steal. Rare vehicles and those with special plates don’t appear often. This year, we’ve seen plates like the Liberty City plate, Las Venturas plate, and LS Panic plate. This week, two plates were supposed to return—but only one actually works.

This Christmas Salvage Yard Robberies

Here’s a quick list of all the robberies and cars with plates available this Christmas:

• The Gangbanger Robbery: Lampadati Cinquemila
• The Cargo Ship Robbery: Pfister Comet Safari with LS Car Meet Plate (Claimable)

GTA Online Special Plates

The Los Santos Pounders, or LS Pounders, are a football team in the GTA universe. Their team colors—black, white, and yellow—are featured on the license plate. This plate had been in the game files for years but was never used. Now, players can finally get it.

This plate features a red and white design with the LS Car Meet logo and text at the top.

How to get the LS Pounders & LS Car Meet Plates in GTA Online

If you complete The Podium Robbery or The Cargo Ship Robbery, you can claim the car from those jobs. This is a rare feature in GTA Online that lets you keep the car as your personal vehicle after finishing a robbery.

This week, The Podium Robbery features the Vapid Clique with the LS Pounders plate. Normally priced at $909,000 on Legendary Motorsport, you can make it your personal vehicle for just $20,000 by completing this robbery.

Now, here’s where things get strange. This week, The Cargo Ship Robbery features the Pfister Comet Safari with the LS Car Meet plate. Normally, this car costs $710,000 on Legendary Motorsport, but you can make it your personal vehicle for just $20,000 by completing the robbery. While that’s a great deal, the real prize is the rare LS Car Meet plate.

Here’s another issue with Rockstar’s plan. The Pfister Comet Safari doesn’t allow you to add a license plate, so while you can claim the car, the LS Car Meet plate isn’t available. Despite Rockstar telling fan sites last night that the plate would be claimable on the Comet Safari, it turns out that's not the case.

That said, there’s a way to cut the cost in half for either vehicle. If you own a Document Forgery office, you’ll only pay $10,000 in GTA cash for each vehicle instead of the usual $20,000. The business doesn’t need to be active to get the $10k price—just owning it is enough.

Last week, a new zombie survival mode launched in North Yankton, and this week the UFO event started as usual, along with other updates. You’ll also be able to unlock a new shocker melee weapon, but that won’t be happening next week, so just hang tight. Now, let’s talk about next week.

Tez2, Rockstar Games insider has shared on gta.logan.rest that the Jack O’ Lanterns collectibles will return to GTA Online next week. From Thursday, October 24th to the 30th, 200 pumpkins will be hidden around Los Santos.

After collecting 10 pumpkins, players will earn the Horror Pumpkin Mask. If you manage to find all 200, you’ll unlock the Pumpkin Tee.

If you log into GTA Online during those dates, you’ll get a reward. Rockstar will give all players the Green Flaming Skull Mask just for logging in.

The community challenge is almost finished. GTA Online players are likely to complete it in the next few hours or days. If the challenge is completed by Thursday, you’ll receive the Purple Glow and Green Glow Skeleton Onesies as rewards.

In the meantime, Rockstar is giving out Día de Muertos masks. The Clone Slasher mode has also returned.

People in Southern San Andreas have seen UFOs! In this guide, we'll share more about this exciting event with UFOs in GTA Online. This isn't the first time UFOs have appeared in Blaine County and Los Santos. Last Halloween, locals dealt with strange weather and saw UFOs flying above them.

GTA Online UFO Event

Starting October 15th, a new UFO or a few will show up on the map every day. The location will change each day, but they'll appear at the same time for the first part of the event: between 10 PM and 4 AM in-game time. Once the Halloween weather kicks in, they’ll be visible from 7:30 PM to 6:30 AM in-game time. You’ll have a chance to photograph a total of 26 UFOs over the next few weeks.

To find a UFO, just look for one and get close, but not too close. If you take a photo of the UFO using Snapmatic, you can send it to Omega on your iFruit phone. The option to send it will show up once you’re close enough and have taken the photo.

You’ll earn GTA$ and RP for each photo you take. For a standard UFO, you’ll get $15,000 and 1,000 RP. Stealth UFOs are harder to find, so they’ll give you $50,000 and 1,000 RP. If you manage to photograph every unique UFO, you’ll unlock special rewards at the end of October: UFO Boxer Shorts, a “???” tee, and a Glow Believe Cap!

At the end of this event later in the month, you’ll receive a new weapon: a melee stun rod called The Shocker. More details about it will be shared soon!

GTA Online UFO Locations

The first UFO was spotted at Paleto Bay, as you can see here. Stay safe and watch for more sightings every day in GTA Online!

People up north have spotted a UFO above the Pacific Ocean, which you can see here. Don’t jump into the water to get closer to it! Air vehicles have also been known to have problems when flying near a UFO.

GTA Online turns up the chaos from regular single-player GTA games because of how players act. Besides missions that encourage players to mess with each other, many players often annoy others just for fun. This player seemed to have bad luck, as they quickly ran into someone who was trying to grief them.

A Reddit user and GTA Online player named GTA_endgame_player shared their experience of creating a new character to play without committing crimes. They posted a short video showing them finishing their character and entering a public lobby. Within just five seconds, another player drove by, then noticed GTA_endgame_player standing there. When GTA_endgame_player tried to walk away, the other player followed, parked next to them, threw a sticky bomb, and blew it up before driving off. The whole event happened in just 15 seconds.

GTA Online Players Share Their Frustrations About Random Killings

Many other GTA Online fans found the situation funny, but some also felt sorry for the player. One joked that GTA_endgame_player had already failed their no-crime run since they pulled out a pistol while standing on the street, suggesting their character clearly didn’t have a license. Others poked fun at the long loading times in GTA Online, noting that the player spent much more time waiting to join the game than actually playing before getting killed.

Some fans wondered why someone would try a crime-free run. GTA_endgame_player explained that they already have another character close to 100% progress, own all the businesses, and are nearing rank 750, so this is just a fun side project. Luckily, this means they know what to expect from the GTA Online community, and they're taking the experience with humor instead of frustration. Many fans noted that if the random violence becomes too much, they can always switch to passive mode or join a private lobby.

It's been over ten years since the exciting but controversial launch of GTA Online. In 2013, GTA V had just become the fastest-selling entertainment product ever, and everyone was focused on GTA Online. For those who played on Day One and faced big server problems, this gift is just for you right now.

If you log into GTA Online starting October 1, 2024, with a character created 11 years ago, you'll receive a gift: a new purple party hat with the number 11 on it. To put on the hat, go to the Party Hats section under Hats in your wardrobe or Interaction Menu. You’ll also get firework ammo to use!

Before, only the hats for years 1 to 10 were available in GTA Online, which were added in last winter's “The Chop Shop” update. If you didn’t create your character 11 years ago, don’t worry! You can still get this hat on the anniversary of when you made your character. Each year on your anniversary, you'll receive a new hat based on how long you've had your character. Right now, the most hats a player can get is up to the 11th one.

How to see character’s birthday in GTA Online

To see your GTA Online character’s birthday, press the pause button and go to the Stats tab. In that menu, scroll down to General on the right side. There, you’ll see the date when you created your character.

What anniversaries will come before GTA 6?

Next year, we’ll reach year 12, probably before GTA VI is released. A glitch confirmed that there will be party hats for years 12 through 15. Twitter user Finn Pup mentioned, “For some reason, my original character has 15 of them. I guess it was a mistake. So, it looks like Rockstar plans to support GTA Online for at least 5 more years.” Here is the Hat 15 along with the other three.

You can also get party outfits as birthday gifts. If your character is 5 years old, you’ll get the Bronze outfit. The Silver Party Suit is for characters that are 10 years old. We don’t know yet if there will be a Gold Party Suit for 15 years, but we think there will be.

Rockstar Games has just put out a new update for GTA Online, only a few days after the last one. This update added a new anti-cheat system called BattlEye. While it has stopped many cheating tools in the game, it also removed support for Steam Deck and Linux, among other issues.

First noticed by Gtamen on Twitter, this new patch is a minor update aimed at fixing problems in the PC version of GTA Online. Below, you can find the download sizes for different PC versions along with the patch notes.

OneStopRedditor on the GTA Online subreddit has put together unofficial patch notes because Rockstar's own notes are quite vague. The community-sourced notes show that there are many changes and improvements to the security of GTA Online.

• Fixed a vulnerability that let players access GTA Online without BattlEye
• Fixed a vulnerability that impacted players’ experience

“This patch introduced anti-cheat improvements such as updating the logic for determining the session host, prevents cheaters from taking over the host slot easily, and improved the untrusted host kick measure,” said Tez2.

These issues appeared when BattlEye was added earlier this month.

In other news about GTA Online, the game’s servers were attacked last weekend, forcing them to go offline for a short time. Also, players can now appeal bans, which is a new option for GTA Online.

GTA Online offers a plethora of criminal activities for players to engage in, with heists being among the most thrilling. You can rob banks, infiltrate government buildings, steal from the Diamond Casino, or even stop a rogue AI. Generally, the game boasts a diverse range of heists to choose from.

While most heists require a team of two to four players, disappointing those who prefer solo play or lack friends to team up with, the Cayo Perico Heist offers a unique solution. It can be completed entirely solo, providing a thrilling experience for those who enjoy playing alone.

The Cayo Perico Heist offers a variety of approaches and can be replayed multiple times, allowing players to earn substantial profits from different runs. Yet, one GTA Online player found the heist wasn’t as profitable as expected. A recent post on the GTA Online subreddit by user Competitive_Divide59 showed that the player ended up with a $-1 payout from their Cayo Perico run. No, it's not a mistake—the player actually ended up one dollar poorer from the heist.

Although you can finish the Cayo Perico heist in just 12 minutes, a $-1 payout seems like it could be a prank from a modder. Competitive_Divide59 explained that they experienced this issue on the console version of GTA Online, so it’s probably a glitch that can be fixed by contacting Rockstar Support. While the player might feel ripped off, the situation sparked some funny comments. One person joked that Mr. Rubio (the main target of the heist) finally went bankrupt, and another joked that Competitive_Divide59 did drop their wallet during the heist.

Competitive_Divide59’s $-1 payout from the Cayo Perico heist is a rare and amusing event in GTA Online. More importantly, it shows that the game still has a lively and engaged player base, despite its age and quirks. It’s not clear yet how much GTA 6's online mode will improve things, but hopefully, players won’t encounter such strange issues with mission payouts.

How to get Kosatka into the Alamo Sea

TheLimaAddict shared their achievement with a friend after they set themselves the challenge of getting the Kosatka into the Alamo Sea. Even though there's a river that connects the Alamo Sea to the ocean, the Kosatka can't go through it because the river is too shallow for the big submarine.

These two players used a tricky method to achieve this, employing an Avenger and a Phantom Wedge to push and steer the submarine to their desired location.

TheLimaAddict explains that the journey began on the east side of the map, near the lighthouse. They drove over the bridge and used the mountains to slide the submarine back down to the water. In the final part of the clip, the Phantom Wedge makes a last sacrifice, giving the Kosatka one final push into the water.

GTA fans reactions

Fans have been excited about the effort, with many saying this is why they continue to play the game and stay involved in the community.

TheLimaAddict also answered questions about the achievement. It took about two hours to complete, but the players were already brainstorming ways to make it easier to move the submarine. Remarkably, the Kosatka was still fully operational when they boarded it. They tested the missile system and found it could reach from Paleto to the latitude of the casino.

Open-world games often draw players who enjoy testing the limits of the game. As GTA Online gets older, players find new challenges like these exciting when regular gameplay starts to feel stale. Even though there's no big reward for this effort, that’s not the goal. Taking on tough, self-made challenges like this will probably keep impressing and entertaining the community for years.

Where to Buy Gloves in GTA Online

You can buy gloves at any clothing store in Los Santos. In the single-player story, different clothes are found at different stores. However, in GTA Online, all clothing items are available at all stores such as Suburban, Ponsonbys, Binco Clothing, and Discount Stores, so you don't have to shop at multiple places.

Ponsonbys is a fancy store located in Rockford Hills. Suburban is a mid-range store in Vinewood. Binco Clothing and Discount Stores are the more affordable options. You’ll encounter many Binco Clothing stores in the southern parts of Los Santos, while Discount Stores are situated in Blaine County, north of the city.

To buy gloves in GTA Online, you need to visit the accessories section in each store. The layout of each store chain is different, so look around for the accessories section. How to Take Off Gloves in GTA Online

To remove your gloves:

• On PlayStation: Hold the Left Touchpad.
• On Xbox: Press the View button.
• On PC: Press the M key.

This will open the player interaction menu. Select “Appearance,” then “Accessories” to take off your gloves. Alternatively, you can remove them by changing outfits or selecting “NONE” in your wardrobe.

As GTA Online has expanded over the years with new updates, Rockstar Games has been criticized for making the in-game economy unrealistic. The prices of new vehicles kept going up with each update. For example, scooters needed for the new pizza delivery jobs now cost a staggering $195,000, with a discounted price of $146,250. These prices are far higher than you would expect for a scooter in real life.

To be fair, GTA Online is just a game that asks players to suspend their disbelief. However, for those who play with a role-playing style, Reddit user JoskiLani found a way to make the in-game prices seem more realistic compared to real-world money. 

In a recent post on the r/gtaonline subreddit, JoskiLani suggested using an exchange rate where one real dollar equals 100 GTA dollars. This GTA Online pricing trick helps players better understand and relate to the in-game prices.

GTA Online Prices Slash 99%

JoskiLani used prices from a clothing store in GTA Online to illustrate their point. For instance, a basic white T-shirt costs $535 in the game. Using JoskiLani’s exchange rate of 100 GTA dollars per real dollar, this T-shirt would cost $5.35, which is close to its real-life price. This method also helps make the high prices of vehicles, like the pizza delivery scooters, seem more reasonable.

Nonetheless, this GTA Online pricing trick doesn’t work for very expensive items either. To cite an example, the $4 million Hydra jet in the game would only cost $40,000 using this exchange rate, which is far from the actual price of a real-world fighter jet.

It's important to note that this method only changes how players perceive in-game prices; they still need to earn money based on GTA Online’s economy. Fortunately, the recent Bottom Dollar Bounties summer update introduces new ways to make money, such as bounty hunting missions, pizza delivery jobs, and improved payouts for dispatch missions. These additions help players boost their in-game cash flow.

Every week, Rockstar Games switch between three Salvage Yard Robbery missions, each involving specific vehicles you must steal. We've known for a while that there's a feature allowing players to claim these vehicles during these missions. Rockstar has recently begun using this feature more frequently.

If you complete The Podium Robbery in GTA Online, you can take ownership of the car involved in that job. This is a rare event in the game. Since the release of The Chop Shop, there have been only a few instances where players could make a car their personal vehicle after completing a robbery.

This week in The Podium Robbery, you can obtain the Karin Boor with the Liberty City plate. Normally priced at $1,280,000 from Southern San Andreas Super Autos, completing this robbery allows you to make it your personal vehicle for just $20,000. This represents a substantial discount—it's a steal!

Moreover, there's a way to further reduce the cost by half. If you own a Document Forgery office, you'll only need to pay $10,000 in GTA cash. The office doesn't need to be active; you just need to have purchased it. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire the Karin Boor if you don't already own one.

Those who have previously claimed cars and plates know that changing the plate design would cause them to lose that option. But don’t worry, Rockstar Games has addressed this in the Bottom Dollar Bounties update.

During this weekly update, GTA Online players can earn up to GTA$ 2 million by completing a set of missions in Dr. Dre's The Data Leaks. Complete the following missions to finish this contract with Dr. Dre for double GTA money and RP.

• Finale

This contract can make you become a millionaire after finishing it. But you must invest in it by purchasing the GTA Online Agency to unlock the mission set.

How To Complete The Data Leaks

When you get GTA Online Agency, it's time to complete this GTA$ 2 million VIP contract within the weekly update. First, you must complete Security Contract missions after purchasing GTA Online Agency. Open your in-game phone and select Quick Join > Contact Missions > Short Trip to unlock the 'The Data Leaks' case.

Step-by-step to finish The Data Leaks

You can access this VIP contract from your Agency's office. Then, Franklin will contact you to discuss Dr. Dre, the VIP client with a VIP contract. He will make an appointment at the golf course with this client. Then, follow these steps to complete this mission series.

1. Go to the golf course to meet the client.
2. Complete the first mission titled 'On Course' by intimidating and fighting some golfers.
3. Wait for Franklin's phone call.
4. Head to your Agency to get the task of sneaking into the FIB building to steal data about the location of Dr. Dre's stolen cellphone.
5. Track down three copies of the stolen phones in the following locations:
   • At a party in The Diamond Casino & Resort;
   • After shooting down the billionaire either in Lago Zancudo or in his private yacht offshore Fort Zancudo;
   • Kill the Vagos leader in Rancho.
6. After retrieving three copies of Dre's phones, drive back to your Agency.
7. Then, drive Dre's black car to the Studio, fight off all enemies outside the building, and enter the studio.
8. Go to find Johnny in the Railway Station, defeat gunmen there, and head to Los Santos International Airport to stop Johny from getting on a plane to escape. Next, knock down Johnny in the Hangar. Drag the incapacitated Johnny outside to see Dr. Dre.

Watch the ending scene and claim rewards after the quest finishes. After the case is completed, you will get the money.
