Riot Games has teamed up with LINKIN PARK for the 2024 Worlds Anthem. Find out more about the 2024 League of Legends World Championship!

Riot Games has officially announced that Linkin Park will perform the 2024 Worlds Anthem, "Heavy Is The Crown." Fans can watch the music video on YouTube or stream the song on any music platform starting Tuesday, September 24, at 8:00 AM PT.

“Heavy Is The Crown” comes after Linkin Park's #1 hit “The Emptiness Machine,” their first new music in seven years. That song quickly rose to the top of the charts with over 80 million streams, and the band kicked off a 6-date arena tour. From Zero, their 8th studio album, will be released on November 15 through Warner Records.

“It’s been an amazing experience partnering with Riot to bring this anthem to the global League of Legends community. The song is a real highlight of this new era for us, harnessing our signature sound and infusing it with fresh energy. We’re so excited for players and fans to experience this!” said Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda.

You can watch "The Emptiness Machine" official MV here:

Maria Egan, Global Head of Music at Riot Games also shared that the 2024 Worlds anthem is a highly anticipated moment for League of Legends players each year and has become an important part of global music. The developer is excited to partner with Linkin Park for this year’s anthem as they begin this new chapter. The lyrics of ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ beautifully reflect the story for this year’s Worlds and enhance the themes in our music video.

Billboard describes Linkin Park’s return as “triumphant,” joining previous Worlds Anthem performers like Imagine Dragons, Lil Nas X, Zedd, and NewJeans. These anthems have collectively earned over 10 billion streams across various platforms. Recently, NewJeans’ 2023 Worlds anthem “GODS” set a record for the biggest debut in anthem history, with nearly 270 million streams and almost 100 million views on the League of Legends YouTube channel.

Top 10 Best Duos for League of Legends Arena https://gurugamer.com/pc-console/top-10-best-duos-for-league-of-legends-arena-24025 Tue, 06 Aug 2024 14:39:00 +0000 https://gurugamer.com/pc-console/top-10-best-duos-for-league-of-legends-arena-24025
Champion synergy is still important, so League of Legends players should know the best duos for League of Legends Arena.

Arena is returning to League of Legends and will be available for 4 months, with hopes of becoming a permanent mode in the future. This version features 16 players in 8 teams of 2, all fighting for a top-4 finish. Players can look forward to these new changes and challenges.

Other updates include new Prismatic items that can shape your build, the addition of Anvils offering a random selection of items, and Anvil stats for extra adaptability. There’s also a new map with a Bloom Bridge that isn’t always passable. Despite these changes, the core gameplay stays the same, focusing on how well teams can compete. Champion synergy is still important, so League of Legends players should know the best duos for League of Legends Arena.

Table of Contents

 • 1. Sona & Shyvana
 • 2. Master Yi & Yuumi
 • 3. Bel'Veth & Yuumi
 • 4. Sylas & Cho'Gath
 • 5. Sona & Graves
 • 6. Veigar & Pantheon
 • 7. Kog'Maw & Lulu
 • 8. Mordekaiser & Kha'Zix
 • 9. Yasuo & Yone
 • 10. Rengar & Ivern

1. Sona & Shyvana

Sona Shyvana

Sona and Shyvana are two of the strongest champions in Arena and work really well together. Shyvana is tough to take down, and with Sona providing heals, shields, and extra speed, the duo becomes nearly unstoppable.

Shyvana's versatility in building different setups is a big advantage in Arena since she can make use of nearly any Prismatic items and Augments. This duo is not only one of the best combos in Arena but also one of the easiest to execute, with Sona being especially easy to use.

2. Master Yi & Yuumi

Master Yi Yuumi

Master Yi has always been a strong carry who performs better with support to cover his weaknesses. The latest popular combo in Arena pairs him with Yuumi, who attaches to Yi and provides various buffs and slows.

In the current Arena meta, attaching Yuumi to one of the strongest fighters makes things much easier. In addition to heals and shields, Yuumi gives Master Yi extra movement speed and attack speed. This helps Yi stay on top of enemies and deal damage more quickly, while Yuumi can make him temporarily untargetable. Since Yuumi can’t be attacked while attached to Yi, area-of-effect damage and crowd control, which are typically effective in Arena, become less useful against this duo.

3. Bel'Veth & Yuumi

Belveth Yuumi

Another duo with Yuumi in League of Legends Arena! While Bel'Veth can be challenging to play in the Jungle or Arena, players who master her special style will find she is incredibly powerful.

Yuumi lacks hard crowd control, but Bel'Veth's knockups compensate for this, making them a strong duo. In 2v2 fights, where Yuumi’s partner becomes the primary target, Bel'Veth can use her four dashes in different directions to avoid damage and turn the tide in their favor.

4. Sylas & Cho'Gath

Sylas Chogath

Cho'Gath is one of the top champions in Arena this patch, and he generally succeeds as long as his partner is decent. To secure a first-place finish, players should consider pairing him with Sylas.

Sylas is performing well right now and works well with Cho'Gath by adding more crowd control and sustain. This makes them effective in extended battles. Although both deal magic damage, which can be countered, this is less of an issue in an 8-team mode. Additionally, Cho'Gath's ultimate is excellent for finishing off enemies since it deals true damage.

5. Sona & Graves

Sona Graves

Sona and Graves are an unexpected top combo in Arena, as squishy pairs often struggle. However, with Sona performing well, she provides Graves with extra burst damage and keeps his health topped up.

Sona’s often-overlooked Q ability gives Graves extra damage on his auto-attacks, and with various enchanter items available, she can further boost his damage. With some Lifesteal and Sona’s heals, Graves becomes tough to kill and gains better kiting power from Sona’s speed boosts.

6. Veigar & Pantheon

Veigar Pantheon

One of the top duos for League of Legends Arena is Veigar and Pantheon. The idea is straightforward: if Pantheon lands his point-and-click stun, Veigar can then use his cage and unleash his full burst combo, making this duo both exciting and powerful.

Pantheon’s damage is significant as well, and with both physical and magical damage, they’re hard to counter. Another effective combo involves Veigar trapping an opponent in his cage, followed by Pantheon using his ultimate on them. Their combined executes are also a major advantage for finishing off intense fights.

7. Kog'Maw & Lulu

Kogmaw Lulu

Lulu and Kog'Maw have always been a strong Bot Lane combo, but with recent changes to Arena and their current power level, players can now fully explore their 2v2 potential.

The concept is straightforward: Kog'Maw is the hyper carry, and if Lulu can keep him safe, her buffs will let him tear through even the toughest tanks. With his mixed damage, Kog'Maw can use a variety of Augments and Prismatic items, making adaptability crucial in this version of Arena.

8. Mordekaiser & Kha'Zix

Mordekaiser Khazix

Mordekaiser and Kha'Zix make a striking duo effective in Arena when facing two enemies at once. The strategy is straightforward: Kha'Zix deals extra damage with his Q to isolated enemies. So, if Mordekaiser uses his ultimate to pull one enemy into the death realm, Kha'Zix can then focus on and eliminate the isolated target.

The player controlling Mordekaiser should target the tankier enemy with his ultimate. The goal isn’t necessarily to win the fight but to buy time for Kha'Zix to take down the other enemy.

9. Yasuo & Yone

Yasuo Yone

Yasuo and Yone, as iconic brothers with similar skills, make a strong pair in Arena. If either can land their knockups, they can keep the action going and quickly overwhelm their enemies.

When played perfectly, Yasuo and Yone are nearly unstoppable in Arena. However, mastering them is challenging since they are among the hardest champions to play. Both deal AD crit damage, which can make them vulnerable to counter-building. But with 8 teams instead of 4 in Arena now, it's much harder to build items specifically to counter them.

10. Rengar & Ivern

Rengar Ivern

Rengar and Ivern have long been a unique and fun duo in League of Legends, and they've even had success in Bot Lane. Recent Arena-specific buffs to Rengar have boosted their standing, making them a top choice in Arena duos and still strong in this iteration.

This combo works by Ivern creating bushes for Rengar to leap from, allowing him to deal extra damage. Ivern can also shield and fully support Rengar, helping him carry the team. With the new Augments and Prismatic items in Arena, this duo becomes even more intriguing.

This achievement is historic and will be remembered as a significant moment for T1 in the world of esports.

After four exciting days of gaming at the League of Legends Esports World Cup (EWC 2024), T1 won the tournament by defeating Top Esports. Despite doubts from fans and experts about T1's abilities, the team did it.

T1's win at the Esports World Cup not only earns them $400,000 and a valuable trophy but also marks their successful debut in the first-ever LoL event at the tournament. This achievement is historic and will be remembered as a significant moment for T1 in the world of esports.

T1 - The Esports World Cup 2024’s Winner

When T1 lost to KT Rolster on June 29, in the LCK Summer split, the team was clearly struggling. They needed help adapting to the current League of Legends meta, losing team fights, and lacking their usual individual brilliance. As a result, leading into the Esports World Cup 2024, T1 wasn't seen as a top pick by fans.

However, everything turned around when T1 defeated one of the LPL's toughest teams, Bilibili Gaming. T1 displayed impressive resilience with innovative draft strategies like Zeus picking Zeri for the Toplane. They navigated late-game team fights skillfully and also triumphed in individual duels.

This is a significant moment for T1 in the world of esports.

Next, T1 faced off against LCS' Team Liquid in a thrilling series. Despite being the expected favorites, T1 faced tough competition, with Team Liquid nearly clinching victory. Gumayusi and Oner delivered standout performances, contributing to T1's 2-1 triumph in the series.

In the Grand Final, Game 1 was completely dominated by Top Esports. Each of their five players performed exceptionally well, leading to a swift victory in just twenty-three minutes. This raised concerns that T1 might struggle against such a formidable opponent.

Against all expectations, and guided by Faker and his four talented teammates, T1 staged a remarkable comeback to win the series. Oner's decisive shot-calling and Keria's exceptional support play were particularly noteworthy in their victory.

In this tournament, T1 secured victories in the following series:

 • Quarterfinal: 2-1 vs Bilibili Gaming
 • Semifinal: 2-1 vs Team Liquid
 • Grand Final: 3-1 vs Top Esports

Faker - The Esports World Cup 2024 Grand Final’s MVP

No one in the LoL community can deny the Faker’s talent and efforts over the past 10 years. In EWC 2024, this legendary player won another big international trophy and was named MVP in the Grand Final as well.

Faker - EWC 2024 Grand Final’s MVP

In the Esports World Cup 2024, all three teams T1 faced banned many of Faker's preferred Midlane champions. Tristana, a highly potent champion in the current meta, was notably unavailable to Faker during the Grand Final against Top Esports.

In the first game against Top Esports, Faker picked Corki but struggled in the laning phase against Top Esports' Creme. However, he bounced back by selecting champions like Ahri, Azir, and Yasuo in the following games, winning three in a row and securing the trophy for T1. The Yasuo pick in the decisive final game was crucial, as it effectively neutralized Creme's Corki.

During the post-game interview, he was questioned about how he managed to stay at the pinnacle of the LoL world after so many years.

"I think it's because I am trying to improve all the time. I try to be better. And of course, I have good teammates over here and the fans," he replied.

Gumayusi - T1’s Unsung Hero in EWC 2024

T1's unsung hero and consistent performer is their ADC, Gumayusi. His impressive champion pool and tactical movements across the Rift, coupled with his impeccable spacing in team fights, set him apart as an extraordinary player.

T1's unsung hero and consistent performer - Gumayusi.

In the EWC 2024, T1 played a total of 10 matches, facing Bilibili Gaming and Team Liquid 3 times each, and Top Esports 4 times. Throughout these matches, Gumayusi chose a different ADC champion each time. His picks included:

 • Against Bilibili Gaming: Kai'Sa, Senna, Jhin
 • Against Team Liquid: Ezreal, Caitlyn, Sivir
 • Against Top Esports: Zeri, Kalista, Ashe, Xayah

EWC 2024 marked Gumayusi's first professional encounter against JackeyLove from Top Esports in a League of Legends esports match. Despite this, with Keria's assistance, Gumayusi emerged victorious.

I guess you're bound to fall in love with these best League of Legends skins.

Skins in League of Legends, to many fans, are far more than just appearance enhancements. Nice look, new voiceovers, special skills and recall effects all make skins a passionate longing for a large number of LoL players. To tell the truth, once using the best skins in League of Legends, it’s hard for you to go back to the in-game base skins. In this article, let’s have a look at the top 10 best League of Legends skins which are cherished by me, a fan girl who has been playing this game for 12 years.

Table of Contents

 • 1. Forecast Janna
 • 2. Cafe Cuties Gwen
 • 3. Pajama Guardian Soraka
 • 4. Elementalist Lux
 • 5. Truth Dragon Yasuo
 • 6. All Out K/DA Seraphine
 • 7. Star Guardian Jinx
 • 8. God-King Garen
 • 9. Broken Covenant Cho'Gath
 • 10. Arcade Ahri

1. Forecast Janna

Price: 1820 RP

Forecast Janna

Janna is my favorite champion in LoL, and Forecast Janna is the skin I like most amongst her array of skins. The champion revolves around winds and storms, so embodying a weather forecaster from Riot, complete with an umbrella and a mic, is absolutely fitting.

2. Cafe Cuties Gwen

Price: 1350 RP

Cafe Cuties Gwen

The Cafe Cuties set is certainly one of the finest skin collections in League of Legends, with Cafe Cuties Gwen standing out as especially impressive to me. She is a beautiful maid in my heart, wearing blonde twin tails with pink highlights and pastel blue maid dresses.

3. Pajama Guardian Soraka

Price: 1350 RP

Pajama Guardian Soraka

If the Star Guardian set is already gorgeous, the Pajama Guardian adds some cuteness to the existing theme. Pajama Guardian Soraka looks great with her long wavy turquoise hair and her iconic horn poking through her bangs. Donning a cat-like onesie and holding a warm ton-sur-ton pillow, she evokes a cozy and tranquil ambiance, a sentiment mirrored in her expression.

4. Elementalist Lux

Price: 3250 RP

Elementalist Lux

This is known as one of the few Ultimate skins in League of Legends. Once you possess this skin, you don’t just own one but ten fantastic skins. Luckily, I got the Elementalist Lux in Hextech Crafting instead of buying it.

Here is how this skin works: You will start the game with the Light form first, and undergo two transformations during the gameplay. In the first transformation, you can choose one from Nature, Water, Fire, and Air and based on your choice, the Demacia lady can then become Mystic, Ice, Magma, Storm, or Dark.

5. Truth Dragon Yasuo

Price: 1820 RP

Truth Dragon Yasuo

I am not good at playing this swordsman yet I highly appreciate this skin because it’s so coooooool! Not only does the splash art make it outstanding, but the champion’s in-game model also adds elegance to Truth Dragon Yasuo. In addition, I bet you will shout Wow at the dragon effects on his skills when gliding through the minions.

6. All Out K/DA Seraphine

Price: 3250 RP

All Out Kda Seraphine

Seraphine is also one of my favorite LoL Champions (Support is my main role), closely followed by Janna and Yuumi. One more reason why I list this Seraphine skin is that I am a K-Pop fan, too. Did you watch MORE by K/DA, a virtual girl group created by Riot Games? If not yet, watch it right here. It reached 210M on YouTube:

Seraphine is the newest member of K/DA, she even has an Instagram account. All Out K/DA Seraphine comes in three different forms and you can pick one of them during Champion Select. Apart from a stunning look, this Seraphine’s Ultimate skin also brings you music and exclusive in-game effects. Luck smiles at me once again as I take her home from Hextech Crafting.

7. Star Guardian Jinx

Price: 1820 RP

Star Guardian Jinx

The Star Guardian skin line is a collection with a magical theme, containing designs that appear to be influenced by the famous Sailor Moon franchise. This skin for Jinx is appropriate for her character, featuring her fiery red hair tied in long pigtails.

The top resembling Sailor Moon is paired with shorts and stockings to blend Jinx's personality with the colorful world of magic. She also wears hair accessories that look like cat ears, positioned in front of sections of hair styled upwards, giving the appearance of a cute pair of fluffy ears.

8. God-King Garen

Price: 1820 RP

God King Garen

Though I’m not really into male champions, I have to say that God-King Garen is one of the best skins in League of Legends. The skin features a grand white motif with a ghostly lion being a focal point of the skin and Garen's movements. It remains stunning even five years later due to its distinct animations, effects, and updated voiceover.

9. Broken Covenant Cho'Gath

Price: 1350 RP

Broken Covenant Chogath Skin

Although this skin for Cho’Gath is somewhat hampered by his outdated in-game model and animations, the splash art is considered to be one of the finest in LoL. This creepy idea is similar to the mobile tombs seen in Elden Ring, as Cho'Gath carries a temple on his back.

Naturally, as Cho'Gath increases in size throughout the game, the skin truly shines. What excites me most about this skin is that, as an older LoL champion who definitely deserves an update, Cho'Gath has the potential to reach new heights with this design in the future.

10. Arcade Ahri

Price: 1350 RP

Arcade Ahri

Playing Arcade Ahri allows players to nostalgically revisit the era of old-school video games. Its retro pixel graphics and bright, arcade-like colors bring back nostalgic memories of classic gaming.

Ahri changes into a pixelated video game character, equipped with pixel animations and skills. The uniqueness of Arcade Ahri lies in the sheer enjoyment and happiness it adds to the game. It goes beyond just a cosmetic improvement; it serves as a symbol of the happiness of playing games and the enchantment of nostalgia. Gamers who enjoy the classic look and fun feel of skins will be delighted by Arcade Ahri as a charming addition to their collection.

Above are my top 10 best skins in League of Legends. What are yours? Share them with me in the comments. By the way, if you want to play as a Support like me, this guide can definitely help.

Let's take a look at our assessment of the best ADCs, prepared before the start of the LEC 2024 winter split.

In recent months, the role of attacking Curries in teams has become critical to their success. Let's take a look at our assessment of the best ADCs, prepared before the start of the LEC 2024 winter split. To place safe bets on esports, we recommend Pin Up skachat. This is an application of a reliable bookmaker, one of the most popular in Uzbekistan and other countries of the world.

Table of Contents

 • ADC LEC Power Rating - Winter Split 2024
 • No. 5. Carzzy
 • No. 4. Patrick/Upset
 • No. 3. Flakked
 • No. 2. Noah
 • No. 1. Hans Sama

ADC LEC Power Rating - Winter Split 2024

Lec 2024

ADCs play an important role in LEC teams, and many of them stand out in particular this season. Let's look at the top 5 best ADCs before the start of the LEC 2024 winter split.

No. 5. Carzzy

Carzzy has had its ups and downs this season. There were moments when he shined and was clearly a significant contributor to MAD Lions' success, but at other times his performance seemed less consistent. While there is confidence that he will perform well and that Vitality could be a strong team, compared to the other players on this list, Carzzy appears to be more mercurial. He is a good player, but does not stand out from the rest. We'd like to be wrong, given his continued presence in the LEC.

No. 4. Patrick/Upset

It was difficult to create a ranking where Patrik and Upset were in the same position in the ADC rankings for the LEC, given the high level of play of the players being rated. Their position at the same level is due to comparable productivity. Upset is believed to have more potential, but his previous season with Vitality left some questions. The team change will likely have a positive impact, especially with him and the Targamas in the KC role in 2024.

Patrik has shown consistent results in past splits, and it is still surprising that he never joined a top team. His potential may not be as high as Upset's, but Patrik is a solid player for the team.

No. 3. Flakked

Flakked made a strong impression late last year when he joined TH's starting lineup for the summer split. Despite his extensive experience in G2, his return from ERL and immediate success was impressive. It demonstrated not only extensive potential, but also significant flexibility compared to other ADCs. This is one of his strengths and we look forward to seeing what he will show in the new season. Given TH's roster, he will likely be a key player for the 2024 season.

No. 2. Noah

Noah played a key role in FNC's resurgence late last year, similar to the influence Flakked had. The Korean player has become a defining figure in team battles, controlling carries in the late stages of the game and occupying an important position. Even in cases where the team could not win, he regularly brought maximum damage.

While his individual stats aren't the most stellar, Noah rarely dies and is very consistent in the lane. His rare mistakes allow him to continually develop and become an important part of the mid-game. Past seasons of LoL have reinforced the need for a reliable ADC to provide victory conditions in the later stages of the game. Considering this factor, Noah and the entire Korean bot lane have high expectations for 2024.

No. 1. Hans Sama

Hans Sama demonstrated outstanding results that became predictable for most. For most of the year he held a leading position among the adjutants in the LEC. Despite the fact that other players could achieve high results at certain points, Hans Sama showed a consistently high level of play in all aspects. According to statistics from Games of Legends, it excelled in every important area.

While having a strong team like G2 has definitely contributed to his success, it has proven more difficult for some of his teammates. Unusually, for all of 2023, Hans Sama had a negative win rate on three of the 18 champions he played, however his Draven posted an astonishing 81.8% win rate. His prowess on this champion forces opponents to actively ban his picks, and Hans Sama is one of the few who has such influence over a team's play decisions.

LoL Esports Announces Hall of Legends: Honorary Recognition for Esports Heroes

The Esports Hall of Legends has been announced for the 2024 LoL season, designed to recognize influential figures who have made significant contributions to the game, the sport and the community. LoL Esports presents the LoL Esports Hall of Legends, and its first participant will be determined by a vote of an independent commission consisting of esports veterans and experts from different regions. Looking to the Future: LoL Season 2024 Game Modes

In the first half of LoL Season 2024, we can expect updates to the Arena mode with improvements. The mode will now feature eight teams of two players for a total of 16 players, which will please content creators like RossBoomsocks from Scotland. In addition, we can expect UI updates, new additions, maps, and other improvements. Let's not forget about the return of the URF mode: first on Lunar Revel in updates 14.3 and 14.4, and then in One-For-All. And as for the new game mode coming later in the LoL 2024 season, it promises to present League in a new light, making it more relaxing and enjoyable to play with friends.

LoL 2024 Season New Features: Vanguard, Ratings, and Champion Mastery

Major system changes are planned for the new season of LoL 2024, including the introduction of the Vanguard anti-cheat, adjustments to the rating system, and an update to the champion mastery system. The Vanguard anti-cheat system, carried over from Valorant, will be implemented in the League as a response to the problem of bots, smurfs and unscrupulous players. It is expected to return LP to players if violators are found.

Some community members have expressed concern about Vanguard's possible influence on custom skins and Linux support. Riot will also focus on improving the ranking system, reducing uneven matches, and overhauling how players lose and gain LP. In addition, changes to the Champion Mastery system are planned for the first half of the year, including the removal of Mastery level restrictions and the addition of new Mastery Crests.

Each year since 2011, a tournament called the League of Legends World Championship (commonly known as Worlds) is organized by Riot Games to bring each season to a close. This year, Worlds has kicked off and this time, taking place in South Korea.

 • Group Stage performance: At the initial stage of the tournament, teams compete in a round-robin format. Here, competitors play against each other, while they keep a record of every win and loss. At the end of this stage, the top teams with the highest number of wins, scale into slots available, to begin the next phase.

 • Knockout Stage: After the group stage, the tournament organizers place each team that qualified from the group stage into a bracket format. 5 Best Teams in the League of Legends 2023 World Championship

With the Worlds at its infancy stage, there are some teams which are bound to give more excitement than others. 5 of the best teams are listed below

T1

Formerly known as SK Telecom T1, is one of the most iconic and successful eSports teams in the world. They were founded in 2003 as a South Korean gaming organization.

Initially, they started out in StarCraft, before moving on to other eSports; League of Legends included.

This team proudly boasts of 3 legendary World Championships won in 2013, 2015 and 2016. They are also a two-time runner-up. This means they have featured in a final of the tournament 5 times, which is the most of any team.

Bilibili Gaming

Although Bilibili gaming (also known as BLG) just recently became a contender, you should definitely not belittle their ability.

They have proven themselves in different competitions this season. Competitions like the LPL spring and summer 2023, where they placed 2nd and third respectively. They also competed in the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 and came out as a runner-up.

JD Gaming

When it comes to past and recent achievements, this Chinese eSports organization commonly known as JDG is chock-full of them. They are one of the leading teams in the Chinese region (LPL).

This year, JDG has achieved a feat that will definitely be talked about for a long time. They have made a clean sweep of every tournament they competed in. Winning the Worlds this year is sure to be something they covet, as it will enable them to make history as the only team to have ever won every tournament entered in a season.

Gen.G

After T1, Gen.G looks like the next most successful gaming organization in LoL. Boasting three Worlds finals appearances and winning two, they are without a doubt, a team to watch out for.

In the South Korean region (LCK) they also continue to dominate, emerging victorious in their last three domestic competitions.

They have become a well-rounded team ready to take down any opponent and should be very fun to watch.

G2

G2 Esports remains a noteworthy team in LoL. A decent trophy case is one of the things that any fan of the team should be proud of.

However, what makes this organization stand out this year, is the level of dominance they have shown in their domestic league this year. You should definitely be on the lookout for them in this year's World Championship.

Other Teams Worth Noting

Though these 5 teams seem to be the best and most probable to win this year's Worlds, there are some other teams you should make sure remain on your radar. These teams could pull off surprising results and shouldn't be written off.

 • Fnatic.

The variety of content emerging from Riot Forge has been intriguing, as the publisher has invested significant effort in developing standalone games that draw inspiration from the expansive lore of their immensely popular League of Legends MOBA.

Along their creative journey, they have introduced diverse genres such as a rhythm game, a JRPG, and a top-down action brawler. Their latest release, in May 2023, Convergence: A League of Legends story, represents their foray into the Metroidvania genre. While this game may not bring forth groundbreaking ideas, it compensates for its lack of originality with a heartfelt approach and exceptional gameplay.

In this article, Gurugamer.com will share with you all about Convergence: A League of Legends story gameplay. Let’s check.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story: Story

Convergence takes place within the steampunk metropolis of Zaun and follows the exciting exploits of Ekko, a brilliant and witty teenage inventor. Armed with a fragment of a mystical artifact, Ekko ingeniously develops a portable device called the Zero Drive. This extraordinary invention enables him to manipulate time by briefly rewinding it and altering its course. Typically, Ekko spends his days in the company of his gang, utilizing the Z-Drive to protect the locals from the harassment of nearby factions.

However, the story takes a captivating turn when Ekko unexpectedly encounters an older version of himself. This future incarnation shares a melancholy tale of dark events that unfolded in his timeline, culminating in tragedy. Motivated to prevent the impending calamity, Future Ekko seeks to travel back in time and avert disaster. The duo allies, joining forces to fight for a brighter future, while Young Ekko eagerly learns from the wisdom of his older counterpart.

Ekko Convergence Lol Story
Convergence: A League of Legends Story story takes a captivating turn when Ekko unexpectedly encounters an older version of himself.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story storyline is unexpectedly strong, albeit somewhat predictable. Convergence thrives on a charismatic protagonist and strong camaraderie among friends. Its self-contained narrative appeals to both League of Legends fans and newcomers. While the presence of iconic League of Legends champions like Jinx adds depth for fans familiar with the lore, the story remains accessible and does not pose significant obstacles for newcomers.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story: Gameplay

About Convergence: A League of Legends Story gameplay, the game adheres to the traditional design principles of Metroidvania games, presenting players with an expansive map to traverse, filled with platforming obstacles, enticing collectibles, and challenging enemy encounters. While Convergence leans more towards a linear approach compared to other Metroidvania titles, it compensates for this lack of player freedom by delivering an exceptional plot and well-paced gameplay.

Throughout the approximately eight-hour playthrough, there is a constant sense of thrilling progress, never letting up. Each section of the map strikes a balance by offering additional missions without the risk of getting lost or overly distracted from the main objective. This ensures a focused and enjoyable experience, where players can engage with the game's content without feeling overwhelmed or directionless.

The primary feature of Convergence revolves around Ekko's time manipulation abilities, which serve as the core mechanic of his gameplay. These powers offer intriguing and advantageous ways to enhance the overall experience. For example, if you miss a challenging jump in a platforming section or misinterpret an enemy's attack, you can simply activate Ekko's rewind ability to turn back time a few seconds and give yourself another opportunity for success. Alternatively, when faced with a swarm of enemies and in need of breathing room, you can use a localized time field to slow down their movements, granting you a tactical advantage in dealing with them.

Ekko Convergence Lol Story
The primary feature of Convergence revolves around Ekko's time manipulation abilities, which serve as the core mechanic of his gameplay

Convergence: A League of Legends Story manages its upgrades effectively, ensuring that none of them feel excessively overpowered, particularly considering Ekko's vulnerability in combat. Nonetheless, each significant upgrade still brings about significant changes to both combat and exploration mechanics. Take the Timewinder, for instance, a boomerang-like tool acquired early on. It serves various purposes, allowing you to target and defeat elusive aerial enemies and activate switches in challenging platforming sections. This demonstrates how upgrades offer valuable enhancements to combat effectiveness and expand exploration possibilities without disrupting the game's balance.

Players can customize Ekko's abilities through an RPG-lite system by collecting items and defeating enemies. Crafting gadgets at workbenches offers advantages like more rewind charges or faster loot collection. Permanent upgrades obtained from Ekko's companions provide useful moves such as a parry or ground slam attack. While these upgrades don't drastically change the Convergence: A League of Legends Story gameplay, they encourage experimentation and exploration to uncover secrets in each zone.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story: Other aspects

While there are numerous activities to engage in within Zaun, the linear nature of the game becomes evident in its design. The map is divided into distinct zones, each housing simple puzzles, hidden rooms, and freerunning challenges that guard collectibles. However, it's important to note that backtracking is minimal in this game. We discovered that we were able to complete or almost complete every zone during our initial visit. While some players may not perceive this as a drawback, those who appreciate the immersive experience of exploring expansive Metroidvania maps and getting lost in their vastness may find that Convergence offers a more confined sandbox experience than an expansive playground.

Consequently, the game can be completed in a relatively short duration of around five to six hours if you prioritize the main objectives and minimize involvement in side activities. For full completion, you can approximately double that playtime. While the accessible runtime may not deter everyone, it's worth noting that Convergence doesn't offer the extensive amount of content found in games like Hollow Knight, where discoveries can be made even after dozens of hours of play. However, it's important to emphasize that Convergence maximizes its limited duration by consistently introducing new upgrades and advancing the plot frequently, providing a sense of constant progression and excitement.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story Comics
Convergence boasts a hyper-stylized, comic book-inspired art style

Convergence boasts a hyper-stylized, comic book-inspired art style that perfectly complements the personality of its main character. This choice aligns with the developers' intention to present Zaun through Ekko's eyes. The visuals feature heavily saturated colors that remain true to Zaun's distinct "slummy" appearance, contributing to its steampunk ambiance. The attention to detail is noteworthy, as the developers have taken the time to create a lived-in atmosphere for Zaun. From clothes hanging on grind rails to random NPCs loitering in doorways and alleys, these small yet significant details contribute to the sense of Zaun being a genuine home for our quirky protagonist.

Unfortunately, Convergence suffers from poor performance, particularly on the Switch platform. The frame pacing is inconsistent, resulting in frequent frame rate drops and disruptions to gameplay. This can lead to frustrating situations such as missed jumps and taking damage. While the rewind ability helps alleviate some of the frustrations, the overall performance remains subpar. If possible, playing Convergence on a more powerful platform is recommended to avoid these performance issues.

Convergence: A League of Legends Story gameplay: Conclusion

In conclusion, Convergence: A League of Legends Story gameplay combines an attractive visual style with compelling time-bending gameplay, making it a Metroidvania worth exploring. Despite its shorter duration, the game leverages this to create an exciting and well-paced adventure that will likely captivate you until the end. However, it's important to acknowledge the noticeable performance issues in the Switch port, although the rewind mechanic helps mitigate the impact of frame drops. Still, our experience with Convergence was enjoyable, and we recommend it to those looking to expand their Metroidvania collection. In spite of the genre's saturation, this game proves there is always room for another outstanding entry.

 • 3# Make your champion pool solid
 • 4# Place wards in a more effective way

Getting better at League of Legends (LoL) is actually an easy task when you are a new player or play at a low rank. Unfortunately, the more you progress in the game with ranks, the harder it becomes to play better.

Nevertheless, there are a few tricks you can use to your advantage to get better at League of Legends quickly.

Let’s go through 4 effective ways to get better at LoL.

1# Use smurf accounts to experiment

If you are an experienced player, you can create additional smurf accounts to experiment with new champions, play styles, and strategies.

These are additional accounts that you can create using reliable services, like RankedKings, and use as a platform for testing and getting practice.

Since LoL smurf accounts are separate accounts, they don't impact your main one. Therefore, you don't have to worry about losing ranks, and you can test different tactics.

For example, if you use RankedKings, you can purchase a level 30 League account with a high amount of Blue Essence.

2# Stick to one role

Another useful tip to get better at League of Legends is to focus on one role and play it in Ranked. It will increase your chances of winning, as you will get more experience quicker and be able to perform better.

The more time you spend with one role, the more you will understand how it is played and what you can and can’t do in specific matchups. It will allow you to play more efficiently and win.

3# Make your champion pool solid

Similarly to choosing one main role, you should also choose only a few champions to play in Ranked.

In LoL, you have more than 150 champions available. It is then impossible to learn to play all of them and win games. Instead, you should rather choose 2-5 champions and try to specialize in them.

As a result, you will be able to better understand each character and adjust your gameplay and strategies according to that champion's characteristics.

4# Place wards in a more effective way

One of the most underrated tools in League of Legends is warding. It provides you and your team with a lot of valuable information that can assist you in winning the game.

Therefore, it is worthwhile to learn how to ward most efficiently in LoL. You can check out warding guides on the Internet or watch video tutorials on YouTube. They will familiarize you with all the best warding locations in League of Legends and break down each role and lane to make it easier.

Summing up, there are multiple ways to get better at League of Legends for experienced players. Smurf accounts in LoL created with reliable services, for example, a level 30 League account using RankedKings, can equip you with the possibility to test new strategies and play modes without losing ranks on your main account.

Apart from this, in the game world, you should also focus on one role, limit your champion pool to only a few characters, and specialize in them. Finally, you can also try to learn the best warding techniques by reading or watching online tutorials.

In February, we are waiting for the full swing of the competitive League of Legends with the following smooth switch to the Mid-Season Invitational.

The competitive League of Legends is coming back after a long pause that started after the end of the Worlds 2022 and the following off-season. The tournaments have resumed and the peak period for watching the LoL championship will be in February.

Mark February in red in the calendar. The LoL esports schedule is tight as there are four major regions on the menu: LPL, LCK, LEC and LCS.

League Of Legends

LPL Spring 2023

The biggest regional split of spring started on 14 January 2023. The championship is accelerating and the decisive flow of games is expected in February.

Seventeen teams are going to take part in the fight for the biggest prize pool in all regions ($619,717): Anyone`s Legend, Bilibili Gaming, EDward Gaming, FunPlus Phoenix, Invictus Gaming, JD Gaming, LGD Gaming, LNG Esports, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Oh My God, Rare Atom, Royal Never Give Up, Team WE, ThunderTalk Gaming, TOP Esports, Ultra Prime, Weibo Gaming.

The best Chinese teams will be playing in the group format by the single-round robin system, having played 16 Bo3s each. The playoff of the LPL Spring 2023 will welcome 10 teams.

The main stage will show the main battles in the spring season and define the strongest teams of the split. They will go to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 which will take place in London.

The intrigues of the season are: will JD Gaming be able to defend the title of the champions of the LPL Summer 2022, having saved the top roster, and will RNG be able to qualify for MSI to continue dominating at the prestigious series of tournaments?

LCK Spring 2023

The neighboring region is also going to be hot. The most prestigious league of the competitive LoL will return in February with high-level matches.

The competition will host matches of ten top teams from South Korea: BRION, Dplus, DRX, Freecs, Gen.G, Hanhwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, Nongshim RedForce, SANDBOX Gaming, T1. ~$304,000 and two trips to the Mid-Season Invitational 2023 are at stake.

As usual, the games in the spring split of the LCK 2023 will be held in two steps: the group stage and the playoff. In February, we will watch the events in the regular season.

All matches will be taking place offline and the venue of the competitive League of Legends will become LoL Park in Seoul. The spring LCK 2023 is worth watching at least because of the teams playing in it.

The list of participants can show off the current world champions from DRX and silver finalists of the previous Worlds 2022 T1. The former had some losses in their roster after the autumn reshuffle, and now it will be extremely hard to repeat the success from the previous year. T1 remains motivated: Faker still wants to raise the Summoner's cup over their head for the fourth time.

However, the legendary mid laner will face some obstacles in the new season. Dplus have collected the ultimate roster: Canna, Canyon, ShowMaker, Deft, Kellin,

Having received support from Deft, the team is going to return to the former glory that was acquired by the DAMWON KIA tag.

LEC Winter 2023

The European split is going to become one of the most interesting events in the February League of Legends. The regional league of the old world has gone through major changes since the moment when it was created in 2013.

The thirteenth competitive season in Europe will host three splits. The first of them was the LEC Winter 2023. It will be split into three stages instead of the two we are used to.

In the beginning, ten teams will take part in Bo1 matches for three weeks. After the definition of the eight best teams games, the group stage will start GSL format with Bo3 matches.

The final stage will be a playoff which will get the 4 best teams by the results of the group stage. At first, the LEC will have the Double-Elimination bracket in the main stage.

The winner of the LEC Winter 2023 will go to the Mid-Season Invitational directly, getting a direct trip to the LEC Finals 2023 that will take place in the summer this year. Here we will know the names of participants in the Worlds 2023 from Europe.

The mentioned prizes and the monetary awards of 87,334 dollars will be fought for by the usual clubs with minor changes: Astralis, Excel Esports, Fnatic, G2 Esports, KOI, MAD Lions, SK Gaming, Team BDS, Team Heretics, Team Vitality.

Newbies of the main European league are Team Heretics who bought a slot from Misfits, and also Koi. The latter deserves special attention as they have merged with Rogue and kept the nominal status of the champions of the LEC Summer 2022.

LCS Spring 2023

The North American League of Legends will become an integral part of February. Games at the LCS Spring 2023 will take place every Thursday and Friday.

Ten teams will play for the prize pool of $200,000. They will compete for two trips to the Mid-Season Invitational.

The participants are all top clubs in North America: 100 Thieves, Cloud9, Counter Logic Gaming, Dignitas, Evil Geniuses, FlyQuest, Golden Guardians, Immortals, Team Liquid, and TSM. The previous champion’s cup of the LCS was taken by Cloud9, having won the LCS Summer 2022. To repeat the success, they will have to surpass their opponents in two stages.

At first, the team has to qualify for the playoff. To do so, the team will have to play 17 matches in the Bo1 format and take at least Top-6.

It is better to make it to Top-4, as the team will start the playoff from the semifinals and the fifth and sixth places will set off from the first loser’s round. Now C9 with the new mid laner will be waiting for the main event where they will play in the double-elimination bracket with Bo5 matches.

We will find out if Fudge and company will be able to repeat the success of the previous summer this March. The finals of the LCS 2023 will take place in the LCS studio that is located in the NRG Stadium on 17 March.

In February, we are waiting for the full swing of the competitive League of Legends with the following smooth switch to the Mid-Season Invitational. Major matches of the regions will take place almost every day, so you will definitely not get bored.

Many other video game titles have been released since League of Legends but they have yet to knock League of Legends off its lofty perch.

League of Legends has long been one of the most successful titles in the Esports scene. In fact, League of Legends can claim to one of the games that has propelled Esports to the high standing of today. Esports has become one of the most in demand sports on the planet, to the point where all the major online bookmakers have added Esports betting odds to their markets. League of Legends betting odds were some of the first to be added to online sportsbooks but is the game still regarded as being one of the biggest in the Esports world?

League Of Legends Old

The multiplayer online battle arena video game was first released in 2009. Developed and published by Riot Games, the idea was to use a custom map from Warcraft III as inspiration for a new, stand-alone game. League of Legends is available on Microsoft Windows and macOS and one of the many reasons it remains extremely popular is because it is free to play. You do not have to spend any money on the game to get started but there are customization options available for purchase within the game to enhance the playing experience.

If we look at the playing statistics for League of Legends in 2020 and the overall active user base was more than 80 million people, which is incredible. Over 30 million players entered the game every day, which is astonishing and if we bring the stats up to date for 2022, there are more than 180 million active League of Legends players. The release of Arcane on Netflix has accounted for the rise in people playing the game recently but how is this linked to Esports. Well, the average daily player of League of Legends wants to see the best players in action. Esports tournaments is where you will find the best players of any game, including League of Legends and millions of fans of the game tune in to watch the leading players compete. Not only does it give the average player an opportunity to see the best players, but it is also an opportunity to learn and become a better player themselves.

League Of Legends Wild Rift

Professional League of Legends Esports events started in 2011 in Sweden. There was a $100,000 prize fund for the competition and Fnatic came out on top to claim the $50,000 winners prize and the title of the best League of Legends team in the world. Over 1.5 million people tuned in to watch live streaming of the event and because of the popularity of the tournament, Riot Games announced it would increase the prize fund to $5 million over the course of season two.

If we fast forward to the 2020 League of Legends World Championship, the winners took home over $500,000. Even the teams finishing 9th to 11th took away over $50,000, which is the more than the winners of the event in 2011. The 2021 League of Legends World Championship could not operate as planned due to the pandemic, but the tournament did take place with restrictions. Despite the restricted nature of the event, the winners of the 2021 League of Legends World Championship took away close to $500,000. Both the 2020 and 2021 tournaments did not have a live crowd due to the pandemic yet League of Legends remained hugely popular on live streaming. The fact some people were stuck at home helped to boost the viewer numbers.

League Of Legends World Championship

If we take the NFL as a comparison, we can see just how big League of Legends remains, not only on the Esports scene but in the sports world. The 2019 Superbowl had 98.2 million viewers and it is regarded as being the biggest single sporting event in the United States. The 2018 League of Legends World Championship Finals had 99.6 million unique viewers around the world, which is an incredible figure. The numbers have continued to get better and in the 2021 League of Legends World Championship Finals new records were set for peak viewership. That does not sound like a game on the decline, in fact, it sounds like League of Legends is continuing to grow in popularity as an Esports game. There were a record 73.86 million peak concurrent viewers for the 2021 finals and this proves League of Legends is still a juggernaut in the Esports scene.

Many other video game titles have been released since League of Legends but they have yet to knock League of Legends off its lofty perch. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2, Fortnite, Call of Duty, Valorant, Overwatch, Hearthstone, and Rocket League have all tried to dominate the Esports gaming scene but League of Legends continues to lead the way. This is especially true on PC, where League of Legends is the most popular game across the globe.

Check this article to find out more about the recent League of Legends Summer Split Week 3 Results and find out which is the most favorite team for winning.

We have just reached the end of the third week of League of Legends LEC 2022 Summer Split, and boy, was it an eventful one! There have been some excellent storylines emerging from this week’s competition. Some teams were able to get revenge and find their previous strong form.

Image3

Which Teams Were in Good Form During Week 3?

The stand-out performance of the week definitely goes to Fnatic. Fnatic played extremely well over the two days. They were able to quickly demolish their opponents. They looked like a well-oiled machine playing against novices. We expect them to continue to be the team to beat in week 4 of the competition!

Image2

Another team that looked strong was Rogue. The German-based League of Legends team had a shaky start to week 1 after losing badly. However, they bounced back strongly since and have gone on a five-game win streak. They are now in equal first place with Fnatic, and EXCEL, with five wins and two losses.

Even though Team Vitality had a poor week 1 and 2 they managed to get back to winning form this week. They managed to counter their opponent’s strategy and were working well together as a team. Team Vitality has shot up the leaderboard and now has a record of 4 wins and 3 losses, just 1 win behind the leaders.

While Rogue, Fnatic, and Team Vitality had amazing weeks, G2 Esports played poorly. The major international team lost both of their matches. If they have another week like that, they won’t be in the running!

Which Team Will Win the Series

Currently, the League of Legends Summer Split is extremely close! Rogue, Fnatic, and EXCEL are all tied on five wins and two losses, while just one game behind them is Team Vitality, MAD Lions, and G2 Esports. Any of these teams could easily win the title.

The only teams that have no chance of winning the Legends LEC 2022 Summer Split are Team BDS and SK Gaming. These teams have managed just one win in seven matches. They don’t look in the same league as the other teams.

Image1

The team in the best form is Fnatic. If we had to bet on one team to win the League of Legends LEC 2022 Summer Split, we would pick Fnatic. The fact that they destroyed G2 Esports was very impressive. We expect them to continue their fine form next week. By the way, the GG.bet bookmaker actively accepts bets on this competition. You can support your favorites and earn some extra money. Judging by the odds, the analysts from GGBet also believe in the victory of this team. It will be interesting!

Another team who could win the series is Rogue. Rogue is in equal first and has not lost since week 1. Rogue is incredibly strong during best-of-one matches. They are likely Fnatic’s strongest rivals!

A dark horse that has shocked a lot of League of Legend fans is Team EXCEL. After battling hard over the last three weeks, they find themselves in 3rd place and just one win behind the leaders. The fact they have repeated their success over 3 weeks shows that their team is the real deal and can hang with these monster international organizations.

Prior to the series, many League of Legends fans thought G2 Esports would easily win. However, they have struggled to find form. G2 Esports lost to both MAD Lions as well as Fnatic. If G2 Esports wants to challenge for the title, they need to alter their strategies and start competing as a team!

It is possible that G2 Esports is experimenting with different tactics and keeping their best performance for the playoffs. However, if G2 Esports does make the correct tactical adjustments, they won’t qualify for the League of Legends Worlds 2022, which would be terrible for the organization and fans. Comment below who you think will win the League of Legends LEC 2022 Summer Split.

The final match of League of Legends World Championship 2021 will take place on November 6. See which teams made it to the quater finals and get the chance to claim the champion title this year!

The World Championship is the pinnacle of the League of Legends calendar, and after a hard-fought Group Stage, the initial field of 24 teams has been whittled down to eight ahead of the knock-out stages, with the destination of the Summoner’s Cup to be decided on Finals day.

Worlds 2021 Photo
The World Championship of League of Legends will find its winner on November 6.

DWG KIA were the favorites going into the tournament and they remain in that position at GG.BET, one of the most popular esports bookmakers according to esportsbettingtop.com. Heading into the semifinals, they rate DWG as the 2.0 leading contender.

The favorites are in that position for a reason. The reigning champions are clearly out to establish a LOL dynasty and have been in determined mood throughout the tournament so far. They have the most complete roster in the world of LOL and they crushed their opponents in the Group stage, with a 6-0 win-loss record. They will be up against the sole European representative, MAD Lions in the last eight, but MAD just sneaked through their Group with a 4-4 record and will struggle to match their rivals.

Dwg Kia
DWG KIA is a formidable rival for any other team at Worlds 2021.

If the bookmakers are correct and DWG progress from that tie, they will be up against the winners of the T1 versus HLE quarter final. T1 will be big favorites to win that game, after their impressive 5-1 record in their Group. Hanwha finished in second place in their section after losing a tiebreaker with EDG, but recent history favors T1, who beat Hanwha 3-2 in the LCK Regional Finals last month. It’s also worth noting that T1 split their league series with DWG this season so will be confident if they come up against the favorites in the Finals.

The other side of the draw looks more open. RNG came out of Group C with a solid 4-2 record and victory in the tie-breaker against Hanwha, and they have the potential to go all the way in this competition, but they will be up against the resilient EDG, a team that has shown the ability to adapt to each new challenge and come through adversity, thanks partly to their stacked roster. They also went into the last eight with a 4-2 record and will be tough opponents to get past.

Cloud9
Cloud9 is the only representative from North America remaining now.

The final bracket features the tournament’s only remaining North American team, Cloud9, who scraped into the last eight after Group A ended in a three-way tie for second place. Their 2-4 record didn’t suggest they are in the form to go far in this competition and against Gen G, they face a tough task in the quarters.

Gen G emerged from the crazy Group D, which finished with all four teams holding a 3-3 record and showed their composure in winning both tiebreaker games. Although they are rated as fifth favorites in the tournament betting at 19.0, they have the consistency to spring a surprise.

The best-of-five quarter finals will be played from October 22 to October 25, with the semi-finals on October 30 and 31 and the finals on November 6.

About Legends of Runeterra

Legends of Runeterra, or LoR for short, is a free-to-play digital collectible card game developed and published by Riot Games. The game was released on April 29, 2020, for Microsoft Windows, Android, and iOS. It uses the familiar characters and origin stories of League of Legends, the best-known product of Riot Games.

The studio developed LoR based on the company's philosophy: "building a game for core gamers who really want to go deep into a genre." However, the game may feel different from others of the same genre. That's because it does not require players to invest in "blind decks".

Riot Games first announced Legends of Runeterra on the 10th anniversary of League of Legends. On this occasion, they also introduced the new animated series - Arcane and Wild Rift.

Legends of Runeterra on Android Gameplay Basics

Being a digital collectible card game, of course, LoR gameplay revolves around cards. Each match begins with 2 players in the 1v1 format. You start the game with a hand of four random playing cards (selected from your card deck), a 20-health-point nexus, and zero mana. If you don't like your starting cards, you can trade them for other random ones before the match begins.

Legends Of Runeterra Champion
Legends Of Runeterra is all about the card.

After the pre-game phase ends, here's how it goes:

 • Both players receive a mana gem,
 • One player will attack first, and the other will defend.
 • After each round, the turn to attack switches between players, and each draws a random card from their deck.
 • The number of mana gems increases as the turn increases, up to a maximum of 10.
 • At the end of each round, any unused mana becomes spell mana, stack to a maximum of three. You use this mana to cast spell cards.

Cards

You can build your deck in Legends of Runeterra to your own unique style. However, a deck of cards must consist of exactly 40 cards, and no more than 3 copies of each card. Additionally, a player can't have more than 6 Champions in a deck. There are four types of cards: Champions, Followers, Landmarks, and Spells.

 • Champions and Followers: units that stay on the field and battle. Champions are more powerful.
 • Landmarks: trigger a special effect at the end of each round but cannot attack or block
 • Spells: single-use cards that cause special effects when placed.

Riot Games announced League Of Legends Anime Series - Arcane to celebrate its wonderful 10 years of running in the gaming scene.

Over the years, League of Legends has claimed its rightful throne in the world's gaming scene, and maybe even further. The game not only engages in the MOBA gameplay but also reaches out to producing music videos and other products. In 2019, the publisher Riot Games announced its first-ever League of Legends Anime Series - Arcane. In case you haven't been up-to-date about it, here's everything you need to know!

Announcement For League Of Legends Anime Series

There is no denying Riot Games' incredible talent in producing non-game products. We know that may sound like crazy talk to you: a game producer makes non-game products? But it's true. In fact, their products, like music videos and cinematics are so good that fans could not seem to get enough.

Of course, all of the products above tie into Riot Games' main title - League of Legends. Put all the funny jokes and comments aside, we can clearly see that these non-game productions really help to promote the game to a broader audience.

And to celebrate its 10-year run in the MOBA scene, Riot Games announced its first-ever League of Legends Anime Series - Arcane. The studio also confirmed that this project came from fans' requests, who had been asking for it for years!

Arcane Netflix Series Lol
Riot Games planned to release the series in 2020 but canceled due to the pandemic.

“Arcane was created as a love letter to our players and fans, who have been asking us for more cinematic experiences that dive deeper into the worlds and champions in League of Legends", Shauna Spenley, Riot Game’s Global President of Entertainment.

Storyline of Arcane

So far, Riot Games have only dropped but a few trailers about its upcoming animated series. But they are more than enough for us to get a glimpse of what to come.

If you're a fan of the game, you will easily notice the two main characters of the new series. Of course, they are also champions in the Fields of Justice. The main storyline will follow Jinx - the Loose Cannon and Vi - the Piltover Enforcer.

Lol Anime Arcane Piltover
The series will take place in the League of Legends universe.

The League of Legends anime trailer shows the two characters as close friends, but will soon stand on two opposite sides of a fight. Therefore, we can expect it to be about the very origins of two of the most adored champions in the entire game.

Also, Arcane will take place in the League of Legends universe as well. However, it's likely to include only several champions from Piltover and Zaun, including the two main characters.

Debut On Netflix

Just a few days ago, Riot Games made an announcement about the premiere of the new animated series. According to the company, the League of Legends anime opening will be Netflix-exclusive.

Speaking of the series, Dominique Bazay, Director, Original Animation for Netflix, said "The series promises to be a visually spectacular thrill ride that will have viewers on the edge of their seats."

Explaining the decision, Shauna Spenley, Riot Game’s Global President of Entertainment credited Netflix's "incredible global brand and shared goal of delivering premium, high-quality content". She, on behalf of the company, thinks the movie-streaming platform will be the perfect vessel to bring Arcane to fans around the world.

Netflix seems to be attracting quite some attention from gaming companies who are looking to enter the movie scenes. Back in February, it dropped the trailer for Dota: Dragon’s Blood, an animated series inspired by Valve’s multiplayer online battle game DOTA 2. And let's not forget other game-based series such as Castlevania, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, Cuphead, and Assassin’s Creed.

Release Date

So far, we have not received any confirmation about when exactly will the League of Legends anime series is released. All we know is that it will come in this fall. And if things go according to Riot Games' tradition, details will be kept until the last minute for the element of surprise.

Lol Arcane Netflix Vi
The series will make its debut on Netflix.

On top of that, we don't know whether there will be any League Of Legends anime skins. This does seem like a good opportunity for Riot Games to drop some new outfits for the champions in the series. They have done the same with the fictional music groups: K/DA and True Damage.

Arcane - Only on Netflix

The first animated series to come from League of Legends publisher/developer Riot Games is set to premiere later this fall. The series follows the origin story of two iconic League champions, Jinx and Vi. In the trailer, they can be seen in the utopian region of Piltover as well as the oppressed underground of Zaun. Let's wait and see what will happen that tear them apart.

Riot Games confirms the plan to premiere its first animation of the League of Legends franchise on Netflix. This marks the company's first attempt at television. And for China, the series will premiere on Tencent Video in China.

Fans of the popular MOBA game League of Legends can not contain their excitement on the new series premiere. Arcane will shed light on the origin story of two of the most adored champions in the entire game. Riot Games also promises it to be a visual thrill ride that leaves the audience on the edge of their seats.

For so long, fans have begged Riot Games to make a cinematic adaptation of the game. And this time, their wish has been fulfilled. “Arcane was created as a love letter to our players and fans, who have been asking us for more cinematic experiences that dive deeper into the worlds and champions in League of Legends", said Shauna Spenley, Riot Game’s Global President of Entertainment.

However, League of Legends is not the first MOBA game to make its debut on Netflix. The global streaming platform takes pride in delivering premium, high-quality content, making it the perfect partner for those who want a booming debut.

League of Legends is huge in Korea. Gamers from all walks of life enjoy the game, even famous idols, and celebrities do. K-pop star Sunmi is also a big fan of the game. She was a member of Wonder Girls, one of the most popular girl bands of K-Pop's 2nd generation. And recently, she had the chance to meet her LoL idol - ShowMaker, the mid-laner of Damwon Gaming KIA, in a talk show.

Though being a fan of Showmaker, Sunmi is his senior, after all. She has quite a name in the Korean show business, so there was definitely some tension in the air. ShowMaker for sure felt the pressure, as you can easily tell by the way he looked extremely shy when meeting Sunmi.

The mini talk-show contains 2 parts. The first was an interview, where Sunmi expressed her admiration for ShowMaker. While the K-pop star was proactive in the conversation, ShowMaker was more on the reserved side. He kept trying to turn away or avoid eye contact with Sunmi as she talked.

Sunmi is a huge fan of Showmaker

FYI, ShowMaker was only born in 2000, so he is eight years younger than Sunmi. That combines with the nature of his profession (spending hours on the computer every day), explains the shy expression of Showmaker. He was sitting in front of someone who is not only older, more famous, but also smoking hot!

Who can blame Showmaker to be nervous?

In the second part of the talk show, Sunmi took the stage, teaching ShowMaker how to pose like a model. The 2020's World Champion seemed much more relaxed. With Sunmi's enthusiasm, ShowMaker finally got rid of his "psychological burden" and became much more active.

It's hard to keep yourself composed in front of a fangirl like Sunmi

At the end of the show, ShowMaker gave his "fangirl" a DWG KIA 2021 jersey with Sunmi's name. Though the K-pop star praised the gift a lot, she was not satisfied. She asked ShowMaker to sign the jersey so that she could bring it back to... show off.

As for Sunmi, she claimed to be a big fan of League of Legends and has "fallen" with ShowMaker since he and DWG KIA debuted in the LCK. With his flawless play style and likable personality, plus a World Championship title, it's hard for anyone not to love Showmaker.
